The Role:

We are currently seeking a Client Business Management Associate to act as a key member of the Client Business Management (CBM) team. You will support the Global Institutional business by assisting with the creation and execution of sales management initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside senior distribution leadership in the Global Institutional organization. You will be responsible for providing and analyzing data and business processes needed to evaluate and complete goals. A successful Client Business Manager will have a deep understanding of the inter-dependence of business functions and how data and technology inform and enable our collective efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Service Enablement Support
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the sales and services processes including regional differences
    • Find opportunities to optimize sales and service efforts to improve productivity and efficiency through consolidation of functions/processes, building consistent processes, and driving the training/adoption of behaviors
    • Drive adoption of existing sales enablement tools as well as ways in which the tools may be improved to meet Distribution needs.  The tools include, but are not limited to, Salesforce, Sesimic, and Tableau.
    • Coordinate with sales leaders, HR, and others to create training programs for sales and service standard methodologies
    • Work within an Agile framework to coordinate required changes with IT and other parties as well as serve as a subject matter expert on applicable data sources
    • Identification and support of sales initiatives (may include synthesizing industry trend, ACI initiatives and capabilities, pulling contact or firm lists from databases, organizing and supporting the execution across regions

 

  • Reporting and Business Analysis
    • Prepares presentations, reports and business analysis for Distribution leadership requiring industry knowledge and ability to synthesize data into easily digestible formats.
    • Partner with leadership and finance to support business planning processes including budget allocation.

 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to synthesize data into useful intelligence for an Institutional sales team
  • Ability to work closely with our business partners, digest their business practices, train / educate on our sale enablement tools as well as help identify gaps and potential improvements
  • Using visual ETL tools or coding to combine data from multiple industry sources
  • Ability to relay data and technical requirements to IT partners
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, persistent, high-energy level, driven to succeed and unquestioned integrity
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to follow through to completion, ideally in a project management capacity
  • Ability to move quickly and shift focus among different, concurrent tasks
  • Keen ability to understand why, not just what
  • Ability to convey knowledge and message to engender the trust and the respect of peers and senior level management

 

 

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preference for Finance, Business, or Accounting
  • Validated experience in data aggregation and analysis focused role within an asset manager, intermediary experience preferred
  • Strong analytical background and a fundamental understanding of capital markets and the asset management industry, particularly the Global Institutional marketplace
  • Familiarity with relevant industry databases including eVestment
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, Tableau, SQL, AWS, RPA tools, and combining datasets using visual ETL tools or coding
  • Former or current project management skills a plus
